
Final Regular Season Match Set for Sunday

Blue Demons close out on the road against Butler at 11 a.m.
CHICAGO – Coach Matt Brothers and his men's tennis team are headed to Indianapolis this weekend looking to finish off the dual-match season with a flourish.
They would like nothing better than to improve their BIG EAST Conference record to 5-2 in advance of next week's BIG EAST Tennis Championships April 19-21 in Cayce, S.C.
DePaul (10-12, 4-2 in the BIG EAST) will square off against Butler at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Butler Bubble indoor courts.
In conference play, the Blue Demons have defeated Georgetown, Creighton, Xavier and Villanova and fallen to Marquette and St. John's.
Leading the way in singles competition is freshman Vito Tonejc with a sparkling 15-5 record in the dual season. His older brother Fran Tonejc is 10-9 and Chris Casati is 9-8.
Overall on the entire season, Vito Tonejc is 19-11 and Boris Spanjaard is 17-13. Fran Tonejc sports an 18-16 overall singles mark.
Colin O'Meara and Luuk Wassenaar have gone 12-5 in doubles during the spring season while the Spanjaard/Casati combo is 7-6.
Butler has built an impressive 18-6 record in the dual season including 2-1 in conference. The Bulldogs have won three in a row and four of their last five.
