Track & Field Concludes Successful Outdoor Season at NCAA West Prelims

Alexia Brooks, Jade Nolan cap off the third-and-final day of the national meet
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The DePaul track and field programs concluded their outdoor season on day three of the NCAA Track and Field Championships hosted by Sacramento State. Seniors Jade Nolan and Alexia Brooks place in the triple jump and 100-meter hurdles, respectively.
Leading off the final day of competition for the Blue Demons, Nolan concluded her capstone year with an 11.75-meter finish in the triple jump to place 44th on the NCAA West list. The conference champion currently holds the program record in the event with a 12.49-meter mark she set at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational.
Brooks, who set the school record in the 100-meter hurdles yesterday, ended her last year in a Blue Demon in the quarterfinals of the event. Her 13.46-second time placed her in the 20th spot on the event's leader board. The Evanston native edged out Incarnate Word's Jerica Love who clocked a time of 13.68 seconds.
The Blue Demons return to Chicago after their squads championed 10 individual events and 25 podium finishes at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships. DePaul earned a total of 41 certificates with the men's team totaling 13 honorees for 21 certificates with the women also totaling 13 honorees and garnering 20 certificates at the league competition.
