Former Blue Demon Dar Tucker to Play for Jordan in FIBA World Cup

CHICAGO – As the FIBA World Cup opens competition in China this weekend, former DePaul guard Dar Tucker will be in action with Jordan. Tucker and Jordan will be playing in Group G with the Dominican Republic, France and Germany.
Since playing at DePaul from 2007-09, Tucker has played throughout the world as a professional including stops in the NBA G-League, France, Bahrain, Dominican Republic and most recently in Argentina. In 2017, Tucker was named the Argentine League MVP, Top Scorer and Best Foreign Player while playing for San Lorenzo in Buenos Aires.
The Falcons face a tough group with two-time World Cup runner-up France along with former third-place finisher Germany and the Dominican Republic. Group G will play its games in Shenzhen, China with Jordan facing the Dominican Republic on Sept. 1, France on Sept. 3 and Germany on Sept. 5.
In his two seasons at DePaul, Tucker totaled 986 points and his career scoring average of 16.2 points per game is ranked 16th all-time. During the 2008-09 season, he scored 592 points that is tied for ninth on the single-season points list.
