LAST TIME OUT
DePaul men's soccer earned their second consecutive clean sheet Monday with a 3-0 win over Drake at Wish Field. The Blue Demons improve to 3-1 on the season. This is the third year in a row DePaul has defeated Drake and second with Mark Plotkin as head coach.Â
The Blue Demons started off on a good note when Youssef Ramadan notched his first goal of his career with DePaul in the tenth minute. Jake Fuderer sent in a corner kick towards Max de Bruijne, who headed it to Ramadan to sail right over the goalkeeper and into the net.
The score would remain 1-0 through halftime until the 50th minute when Zach El-Shafeilaunched a free kick from about 40 yards out into the top left corner of the net to put DePaul up 2-0 over the Bulldogs.
DePaul was not done working yet and quickly added an insurance goal in the 53rd minute. A sequence from Brayden Callipari to Fuderer on the left side of the field found its way to Jacob Seeto who chipped it in to push the score to 3-0.
Drew Nuelle to record one save. Ramadan anad El-Shafei would each tally two shots on goal, while Callipari, Seeto and Michael Anderson put up a shot apiece. Â
