Save the Dates: 2019-20 Men's Basketball Schedule Announced

Blue Demons open season Nov. 5 at Wintrust Arena
CHICAGO – DePaul's 2019-20 men's basketball schedule was announced today with game times and television assignments released by the BIG EAST Conference. The Blue Demons open the BIG EAST slate with back-to-back home games while the non-conference schedule features visits to Wintrust Arena by NCAA runner-up Texas Tech along with local opponents Northwestern and UIC.
Following an exhibition game on Oct. 29 against Marian (Wis.), the Blue Demons open the regular season with three home games in a four-day span. Alcorn State visits on Nov. 5 followed by the University of Chicago on Nov. 6. After a day off, the Blue Demons host Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, Nov. 8.
The annual Gavitt Tipoff Games between the BIG EAST and Big Ten Conferences slots the first road trip of the season as DePaul takes on Iowa in Iowa City on Nov. 11. Iowa is one of three Big Ten teams on the non-conference schedule as the Blue Demons travel to Minnesota on Nov. 29 and host Northwestern on Dec. 21.
Between the Iowa and Minnesota contests, DePaul hosts Cornell on Nov. 16, travels to Boston College on Nov. 23 and hosts Central Michigan on Nov. 26.
December's schedule starts Dec. 4 against Texas Tech in a scheduling agreement between the BIG EAST and Big 12 before UIC returns to Wintrust Arena on Dec. 14. DePaul final two non-conference games are Dec. 18 at Cleveland State and a Saturday night game at Wintrust Arena against Northwestern on Dec. 21.
DePaul kicks off the BIG EAST schedule against Seton Hall on Monday, Dec. 30 after sweeping the Pirates in the season series a year ago. The Blue Demons were the only BIG EAST team to post two conference wins against Seton Hall with a 75-74 win at Wintrust Arena and a 97-93 victory at Prudential Center.
The Providence Friars visit Chicago on Saturday, Jan. 4 before the Blue Demons play consecutive road games at St. John's (Jan. 11) and Villanova (Jan. 14).
A three-game homestand in mid-January features Butler on Jan. 18, Creighton on Jan. 22 and St. John's on Jan. 25. The first month of 2020 concludes with DePaul making the return trip to Newark for a Jan. 29 game at Seton Hall.
February opens with a trip to Milwaukee to face Marquette (Feb. 1) followed by a home game against Xavier on Feb. 4 to start the second half of the conference schedule. Road games at Georgetown (Feb. 8) and Creighton (Feb. 15) precede consecutive home games against Villanova (Feb. 19) and Georgetown (Feb. 22) to continue the February schedule.
DePaul plays three of its final four games on the road starting Feb. 25 at Xavier and Feb. 29 at Butler. The final home game of the season is set for Tuesday, March 3 against Marquette before the Blue Demons conclude the regular-season schedule on March 7 at Providence.
The BIG EAST Tournament at Madison Square Garden is set for March 11-14.
