Blue Demons Advance to Semifinals

DADE CITY, Fla. – The DePaul golf team played to a tie with Ball State and advanced to the semifinals via a tiebreaker in the first match of the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play on Monday morning. The Blue Demons face Eastern Michigan in the semifinals on Monday afternoon.

Noah Kolar and Conor Glennon won matches for the Blue Demons while Stephen Sul and Perry Chong played to a tie in their individual matches. Kolar won his match 3&2 while Glennon posted an impressive 5&4 victory. Campbell Wolf dropped his match by a score of 2&1 while Nik Gatmaytan fell, 4&3, in his match.

Following the conclusion of the match with Ball State, both teams had three points and DePaul advanced to the semifinals with a larger margin of victory in the matches won.

DePaul and Eastern Michigan are facing off in the semifinals on Monday afternoon with the winner advancing to tomorrow's championship match against either Dayton or Drake and the loser facing the other two team in the third-place match. Tuesday's tee times start at 8:30 a.m. ET at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
