Javon Freeman-Liberty Selected to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Chicago native picks up fourth weekly honor this season from BIG EAST office

CHICAGO – Javon Freeman-Liberty added his fourth BIG EAST weekly recognition of the season as the league office placed him on the Weekly Honor Roll today. Freeman-Liberty was named the Player of the Week in the first two weeks of the season and earned Honor Roll mention on Nov. 29.

Freeman-Liberty scored 27 points with seven rebounds, three assists and a steal at UIC in DePaul's lone game of the week. He went 8-for-23 from the field overall and 10-of-14 at the free throw line as DePaul doused the Flames on Tuesday. It was his eighth game of the season in double figures and sixth game of 20 or more points.

Xavier's Dwon Odom was named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Creighton's Ryan Nembhard was the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Freeman-Liberty was joined on the honor roll by Ryan Kalkbrenner from Creighton, R.J. Cole from Connecticut, Georgetown's Donald Carey and Providence's A.J. Reeves.
