Held Selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Junior guard earns first BIG EAST weekly accolade of the season
CHICAGO – Lexi Held's complete all-around performance on Sunday against No. 3/4 Connecticut brought her recognition from the BIG EAST on Monday.
Held was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after filling the stat sheet with 16 points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals in a 100-67 loss at Wintrust Arena.
This was the first conference weekly accolade for Held and her second overall. The junior guard previously joined teammate Sonya Morris on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
On the season, Held is averaging 15.5 points a game and leads DePaul in assists and steals. She has been a double-figure scorer in all but one game in 2020-21.
St John's guard Leilani Correa was named BIG EAST Player of the Week after averaging 32 points in a pair of road games last week.
Connecticut freshman Paige Bueckers won her sixth BIG EAST Freshman of the Week award after averaging 24.5 points and seven assists.
No. 17/20 DePaul (9-4, 6-2 BIG EAST) is on the road Thursday to face one of the league's hottest teams, Seton Hall.
