Another BIG EAST Accolade for Lexi Held

Junior guard named to BIG EAST Honor Roll for third time in four weeks
CHICAGO – Lexi Held has been the model of consistency lately when it comes to BIG EAST weekly accolades.
For the third time in the last four weeks, the junior guard from Burlington, Ky. has been selected to the BIG EAST Honor Roll.
She led No. 24/19 DePaul to a 2-1 record last week averaging 19.7 points, 4.7 steals, 4.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds.
The 5-foot, 10-inch all-purpose standout scored a game-high 25 points against Xavier while adding six assists, five steals and four rebounds.
Held finished with 17 points with a career-high seven steals against Creighton and also scored 17 against Seton Hall.
On the season, Held is averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 assists, 3.3 steals and has scored in double figures every game but one.
Held begins the week ranked No. 6 in the nation in steals with 59 and No. 7 in steals per game.
Villanova's Maddy Siegrist was named BIG EAST Player of the Week after averaging 24.3 points and 11 rebounds. Creighton's Emma Ronsiek was honored as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after leading all first-year players averaging 16.5 points.
The Blue Demons have a crucial BIG EAST showdown Wednesday against rival Marquette with a 4 p.m. tip at Wintrust Arena.
