
Glennon, Yalovenko and Gatmaytan Tied for Fifth After Two Rounds

Blue Demons in second after two rounds at the Alabama A&M Golf Classic
HUNSTVILLE, Ala. – DePaul completed two rounds at the Alabama A&M Golf Classic on Monday. Conor Glennon, Artemiy Yalovenko and Nik Gatmaytan are all in a group in fifth place while the Blue Demons are second among the six teams competing at Hampton Cove GC.
The trio in fifth place each posted a score of 147 (+3) over the first two rounds. Gatmaytan turned in the best score of the day for the Blue Demons with a first round of 70 (-2). He followed that with a 77 (+5) in the afternoon session. Yalovenko carded rounds of 74 (+2) and 73 (+1) while Glennon finished with a 72 (E) and 75 (+3).
Perry Chong is tied for eighth and Grant Boyson is in 15th place. Chong tallied scores of 73 (+1) and 75 (+3) to finish at 148 (+4). Boyson carded a 77 (+5) in the first round before coming back with a 73 (+1) in round two to finish at 150 (+6).
Noah Kolar is a shot behind Boyson and tied for 16th while David Griggs finished the first day in 31st place. Kolar turned in a 78 (+6) and 73 (+1) for a 36-hole total of 151 (+7). Griggs is at 164 (+20) after rounds of 81 (+9) and 83 (+11) on Monday.
Alabama State holds a two-shot lead over the Blue Demons while Arkansas-Pine Bluff is one shot behind DePaul. Alabama State's Afnan Chowdhury leads the field and is the only player under par with a two-round score of 141 (-3).
