Nik Gatmaytan leads team and is tied for 21st place after 36 holes
KETTERING, Ohio – Day one of the Dayton Flyer Intercollegiate saw Nik Gatmaytan lead DePaul as he is tied for 21st place after 36 holes. The final round is set for Tuesday morning at NCR Country Club.
Gatmaytan turned in rounds of 71 (+1) and 72 (+2) and is in a group in 21st place. He is followed by Artemiy Yalovenko and Noah Kolar. Yalovenko recorded in the best round of the day for the Blue Demons with a second round of 68 (-2) to follow his opening circuit of 76 (+6). Yalovenko is tied for 23rd while Kolar is tied for 32nd. Kolar posted scores of 75 (+5) and 70 (E).
Perry Chong and Conor Glennon rounded out the DePaul contingent with Chong in a tie for 42nd and Glennon in a group in 53rd place. Chong carded a 74 (+4) and 73 (+3) while Glennon finished with a 76 (+6) and 75 (+5).
DePaul is tied for ninth after two rounds while Bowling Green holds the top spot on the team leaderboard. Dayton's Kyle Schmidt is in first place with scores of 69 (-1) and 65 (-5) in the first two rounds.
