DePaul Finishes Second in Dallio Match Play

CHICAGO – The DePaul golf team defeated Bradley in the morning session before falling to Loyola Chicago in the championship match as the Blue Demons concluded the John Dallio Match Play on Friday. Nik Gatmaytan led the Blue Demons with a pair of wins in his individual matches.

DePaul defeated Bradley by a score of 4-2 as Conor Glennon, Noah Kolar, Artemiy Yalovenko and Gatmaytan all posted victories. Glennon and Gatmaytan turned in decisive 4&3 wins while Yalvenko finished with a 3&2 victory and Kolar won his match by a score of 1UP.

The Blue Demons fell to the Ramblers in a tight match to see who took home the winning trophy. Three of the matches finished all square to split a point while Gatmaytan posted the lone win for DePaul with a 3&1 victory.

DePaul travels to Ohio for the Dayton Flyer Intercollegiate on April 12-13. The Hawkeye Invitational (April 17-18) leads up to the annual BIG EAST Championship on April 26-28 at Streamsong Resort in Bowling Green, Fla.
