Saipi Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Saipi scored early in DePaul's matchup with Creighton and has now scored in back-to-back games
CHICAGO- DePaul women's soccer senior Bina Saipi was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor roll as announced by the conference on Monday. Saipi scored a first-half goal in DePaul's 2-1 loss at Creighton on Sunday and has now scored goals in back-to-back games.
On Sunday in Omaha, Saipi collected a Bluejay turnover in the DePaul offensive end in the fourth minute and quickly set up a right-footed shot that she buried into the bottom left corner of the net. Saipi's goal came a week after she scored with time winding down to force overtime against Xavier at Wish Field. Saipi now has a pair of goals this season and is up to six during her collegiate career.
Saipi is the first Blue Demon to earn a weekly conference accolade since Sydney Parker was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in DePaul's shutout win over Butler on March 21. The conference award is the first that Saipi has notched during her career in Lincoln Park.
