Golf Earns GCAA Academic Award for 13th Straight Year

Golf Coaches Association of America recognizes top team GPAs
CHICAGO – The DePaul golf team picked up All-Academic Team honors for the 13th consecutive seasons as the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) released its annual team academic awards.
The Blue Demons claimed the academic team honor for the 13th straight year with this year's All-Academic Team award. Since the GCAA poll began in 2009, the Blue Demons have etched academic honors every year. DePaul was crowned the Division I academic national champions in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 and was also awarded the President's Special Recognition award in 2013 and 2018 for having a team GPA over 3.5. The Blue Demons earned All-Academic Team honors in 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Richmond (Division I), Lander (Division II), Augsburg (Division III), Cumberland (NAIA), Dodge City (NJCAA Division I),Meridian (NJCAA Division II), and Virginia Union (HBCU) were all named Academic National Champions for finishing with the top GPA in their respective divisions, announced by the GCAA. Lander finished with the top overall GPA in all divisions, finishing the 2020-21 season with a 3.89 team GPA.
To be eligible for GCAA Outstanding Team Academic honors a college or university must submit GPAs for each player on their official squad list for the academic year.
