Cross Country Set for 20th Annual Live in Lou Classic

Blue Demons join field of 140+ teams
CHICAGO - The DePaul men's and women's cross country squads will continue their 2021 journey at the 20th annual Live in Lou Cross Country Classic at E. P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park on Saturday, Oct. 2.
The men's 8K is set to get underway at 8:30 a.m. CT while the women's 5K race is scheduled for a 9:15 a.m. start.
The Blue Demons will be joined by 143 other teams in the field including, Loyola, Wisconsin, and BIG EAST counterparts Marquette and Xavier, amongst others from across the country.

Last time out, the men's squad finished fourth overall at the Redbird Invite. Dominic Bruce came out shining with a seventh-place finish with a time of 24:42.8. Shane Knanishu followed behind closely crossing the finish 10th with a time of 24:48.2.
On the women's side, Olivia Borowiak finished on top for the Blue Demons at 13th at a 6K distance with a mark of 21:39.7.
The Blue Demons will take a week off to recoup before competing in their final regular season race of the fall season at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill. The BIG EAST Cross Country Championships are set for Friday, Oct. 29 in Carmel, Ind.
