Men's Tennis Hits the Road for a Saturday Doubleheader

Blue Demons face North Dakota and host Wisconsin in Madison
CHICAGO – After a successful dual-season debut last weekend that included victories over Army West Point and Illinois State, DePaul men's tennis heads north of the state line for a pair of matches Saturday in Madison, Wis.
The Blue Demons will start out at 10 a.m. against North Dakota and follow up at 4 p.m. versus the host Badgers.
Leading the way once again will be No. 1 singles standout Vito Tonejc who went 3-0 at the Arthur Ashe Invitational in West Point, N.Y. He is 11-6 overall including the fall tournament season.
Tonejc also teamed with freshman Marino Jakic to sweep all three doubles matches. They are 8-4 overall.
Jakic entered the dual season ranked No. 124 in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), and he came away with a 2-1 mark in singles.
Freshman Matteo Iaquinto continued his stellar play from the fall by sweeping all three of his Ashe Invitational singles matches. The Palermo, Italy native is 13-4 overall this season.
Classmate Leon Huck got his collegiate dual career off to a good start with a 2-1 record last weekend and evened his season record at 8-8.
North Dakota went 10-8 last season with 7-0 wins over Illinois State and UIC and 6-1 losses to Northern Illinois.
Wisconsin was 5-13 playing a Big Ten-only schedule with losses to ITA's No. 8 Illinois, No. 12 Ohio State, No. 15 Michigan, No. 24 Northwestern, No. 38 Iowa and No. 48 Minnesota.
