DePaul Wins Every Set in 7-0 Victory Over North Dakota

Blue Demons take on host Wisconsin later Saturday afternoon
ÂÂMADISON, Wis. – Straight up, DePaul never let up in a resounding victory Saturday morning.
The Blue Demons won every set in a 7-0 whitewash of North Dakota at Wisconsin, setting the stage for an afternoon showdown with the host Badgers who topped North Dakota 5-2 on Friday.
Coach Matt Brothers' defending BIG EAST champion snatched the early momentum with a clean sweep of the doubles completion as the Vito Tonejc/Marino Jakic No. 1 tandem along with No. 2 Tripp Tuff/Matteo Iaquinto and No. 3 doubles combo Luuk Wassenaar/Lars Peder Minsaas all won their matches by three or more points.
At No. 1 singles, Tonejc eased past Gerhard Sullwald 6-1, 6-2 while Jakic defeated Edmond Aynedjian 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
In the No. 3 slot, reigning BIG EAST tournament MVP Wassenaar took care of Cian McDonnell 6-1, 6-4. Tuff beat Riley Odell 6-4, 7-5 at No. 4.
At No. 5 and No. 6 singles, freshmen Matteo Iaquinto and Leon Huck completed the clean sweep. Iaquinto defeated Nikita Snezhko 6-4, 6-2 and Huck dropped Dylan Leeman 6-3, 6-4.
DePaul (3-1) is back on the courts Saturday afternoon to face host Wisconsin (1-0) at 4 p.m.
