Women’s Tennis Finishes Second Competition of Fall Slate

Perova and Carbone have great final day in East Lansing
EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Blue Demons completed their second fall tournament of the 2022 season on Sunday when they finalized play at the Spartan Invite, hosted by Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.
In the Izzo Flight, Eleanor Nobbs and Hannah Smith partnered up for their doubles match and fell to Michigan State's Nicole Conard and Charlotte Gisclon, 6-4.
In the Izzo Flight singles play, Hannah Smith and Maddie Yergler both earned wins over the host Michigan State's Conard and Gisclon.
In the Tuck Comin' Flight, Greta Carbone and Mayya Perova played their final doubles match of the weekend. Carbone and Perova eventually fell to NIU's Lauren Littell and Anastasia Rakita, 6-2.
Perova participated in the Tuck Comin' singles competition on Sunday, defeating NIU's Littell. Carbone finished up competition for the Blue Demons today as she earned a singles win over Diana Lukyanova from NIU.
UP NEXT: Yuliya Kizelbasheva and Lenka Antonijevic will head to Cary, N.C. to take place in the ITA All-Americans competition. Full team competition will continue on Friday, Oct. 7 when the Blue Demons head to Seattle, Wash. for the Husky Invite hosted by the University of Washington.
