Katie Godden Named to All-BIG EAST First Team

The Blue Demon earns a BIG EAST award
CHICAGO, Ill. – On Wednesday morning, the BIG EAST Conference named DePaul's Katie Godden to the All-BIG EAST First Team.Â
Â
The sophomore forward from Surrey, England tied first for goals in the conference with seven connections this season alongside Butler's Abigail Isger.Â
Â
The Blue Demon also claimed the first-place spot for points per game and goals per game in the BIG EAST conference. She earned 17 points the season and obtained an impressive .50% average for goals per game.Â
Â
Since she joined the Blue Demons in 2021, Godden has played in 32 games, collecting eight goals and three assists.Â
Â
Godden is the first DePaul women's soccer play to be named to the All-BIG EAST First Team since Morgan Turner was listed in 2019.Â
Â
All-BIG EAST Teams and major awards are selected by a vote of the league's head coaches who are not allowed to vote for their own players. All-BIG EAST First Teams are comprised of two defenders, two midfielders, two forwards, one goalkeeper and four at-large selections per team. The All-Freshman Team is 11 at-large selections.
