ATLANTA – DePaul's Aneesah Morrow added to her already abundant sophomore season accolades with a selection to the 2023 Wade Trophy Watch List as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Wednesday. The Wade Trophy — now in its 46th year — is the oldest and most prestigious national player of the year award in college women's basketball.

The Chicago native ranks third in the nation in scoring and sixth in rebounding while her five double-doubles through is good for fourth among Division I players.
Additional preseason honors for Morrow include mention on the Wooden Trophy Watch List, Naismith Trophy Watch List, Katrina McClain Award Watch List and unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST Preseason Team. She has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll in each of the three weeks gone by in the 2022-23 season.
Fellow BIG EAST selections to the Wade Trophy Watch List include Azzi Fudd (Connecticut) and Maddy Siegrist (Villanova).
The Wade Watch list of candidates for the Wade Trophy is composed of players selected by the WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Selection Committee. The committee will review the list midseason to determine if additional players will be added based on their play during the first half of the 2022-23 season.
