Blue Demons set to host Bison in front of thousands of school children
CHICAGO – Nearly 6,500 school children from the Chicagoland area are expected to descend upon Wintrust Arena on Monday morning as DePaul hosts Howard on Wintrust Junior Savers Club Field Trip Day. Tip off is slated for 11 a.m. with coverage carried on FloHoops.

Noting the Blue Demons
DePaul (7-3, 1-0 BIG EAST) has won six of their last seven games including an 81-63 defeat of Northwestern on Saturday afternoon which saw sophomore forward Aneesah Morrow broke the program record for points in a single game with 45.

The nation's leading scorer has led the charge for the Blue Demons all season long with an average of 28.5 points per game to go along with 12.6 rebounds per game. Morrow's eight double-doubles this season rank third in the nation.

Junior guard Darrione Rogers is averaging a career-high 19.2 points per game and has knocked down 34 three-point field goals, the most in the BIG EAST and fourth in Division I. Rogers leads the team in assists with 5.5 helpers per game.

The Blue Demons have been aggressive on the boards through 10 games this season, averaging 43.6 per game while holding a +7.6 margin. On the offensive glass, DePaul is pulling down 17.5 rebounds per game which is good for 10th in the country.

DePaul has forced 15 or more turnovers in seven of 10 games with opponents averaging 19.0 miscues per game.

The Bison land in Chicago 3-6 on the season and most recently fell to Towson by 10 points on Saturday afternoon. Howard has claimed wins over La Salle, American and Elon. Three players are averaging double figures led by Destiny Howell's 13.9 points per game. Chicago product Brookyln Fort-Davis provides a threat on the boards, leading the Bison with 5.3 rebounds per game.Â

Ty Grace is in her eighth season leading the Bison. A season ago, Grace guided Howard to their first MEAC title in 21 seasons and picked up a NCAA tournament win in the First Four.

Monday marks the second all-time meeting between the two programs. DePaul took the first matchup back on Nov. 17, 2012 by a score of 68-51 at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
