DePaul Visits Loyola on Wednesday for Crosstown Clash

Blue Demons and Ramblers meet for 55th time on Wednesday evening
CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball will make the short trip to Rogers Park on Wednesday evening for a matchup with local foe Loyola Chicago. Tip off from Gentile Arena is slated for 6 p.m.
Fans at home can stream the game on ESPN+ with a valid subscription. Tyler Aki and Lauren Withrow will be on the call for the 55th all-time meeting between the two programs.
Demon Notes
DePaul (5-3), receiving votes in the WBCA Coaches' Poll for the second-straight week, has won four of their last five games including a victory over Butler on Sunday afternoon in the BIG EAST opener.
All-American forward Aneesah Morrow leads the Blue Demons with 26.9 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per game. Morrow has posted six double-doubles in her sophomore season to push her career total to 33. The Chicago native's season averages rank third and sixth in the nation, respectively.
Darrione Rogers is averaging a career-high 19 points per game through eight games which ranks fifth in the BIG EAST while dishing out six assists per game, good for 19th nationally.
Junior guard Kendall Holmes rounds out the Blue Demons in double-figures with 10.4 points per game while shooting 47 percent from long distance.
As a team, DePaul has won the rebounding battle in seven of eight games this season, averaging 44.9 rebounds per game including 17.6 on the offensive glass to rank ninth among Division I programs.
Scouting Loyola
The Ramblers are 3-6 on the season and snapped a two-game skid with a 57-54 win over Bradley on Saturday. Junior guard Maya Chandler leads the charge, averaging 11.7 points per game while St. John's transfer Sophia Nolan is putting up 10.8 per game.
Four of Loyola's six losses have come by 10 points or less this season.
Allison Guth is in her first year at the helm of the Ramblers program after a seven-year stint at Yale. Guth is no stranger to Chicagoland basketball as she served as an assistant on Bruno's staff from 2008-2010 and later an assistant at Northwestern.
Series Stuff
The Blue Demons own a 43-11 edge in the all-time series between the two Chicago schools. DePaul has won six-straight matchups and 26 of the last 27 meetings. A season ago, DePaul captured an 87-53 victory at Wintrust Arena behind five players in double figures.
