Courvoisier McCauley Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

McCauley led the Blue Demons to the win at Xavier on Saturday
CHICAGO – Following a career day and leading DePaul to a win at No. 21/23 Xavier, Courvoisier McCauley was named to the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll. The weekly recognition is the first for McCauley and he is the third DePaul player this season to pick up BIG EAST weekly honors.
McCauley led DePaul in its only game of the week with 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals as the Blue Demons posted the 69-65 win in Cincinnati. He went 8-for-12 from the field overall and 4-of-8 from three-point range while setting or matching career highs in points, rebounds (second time), assists, steals (third time), three-pointers and three-point attempts.
Providence's Jared Bynum was the BIG EAST Player of the Week and Trey Alexander from Creighton was the Freshman of the Week. McCauley was joined on the honor roll by Tyler Kolek from Marquette, Posh Alexander from St. John's, Seton Hall's Kadary Richmond and Villanova's Eric Dixon.
DePaul is scheduled for two games this week starting Wednesday against Georgetown. The Blue Demons and Hoyas meet at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The week concludes with a trip to Providence for a Saturday evening game against the league-leading Friars.
