Blue Demons participate in first hometown race since 2019
CHICAGO - The DePaul men and women's cross country teams will head over to Montrose Beach for their second race of the 2022 season.Â
The Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational, hosted by Loyola, takes place on Friday. The women's 6K is set to begin at 1 p.m. CT with the men's 8K followig at 1:35 p.m. CT.
Teams participating in both events include Wisconsin, University of San Diego, Ohio State, Northwestern, St. Louis, Chicago State, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Loyola New Orleans, St. Thomas and the host Loyola.Â
DePaul cross country participated in their first meet of the season on Sept. 16 in Peoria, Ill. for the Bradley Intercollegiate. Both teams ran strong races with the women's team finishing first out of nine teams, and the men's team finishing second out of nine.Â
Senior Olivia Borowiak led the way for the Blue Demons on Sept. 16, placing first overall for the women's team.
Following the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational, the Blue Demons will head to Stillwater, Okla. for the Weiss-Crockett Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15.
