Blue Demons meet Hoyas for second time this season
WASHINGTON, D.C. – DePaul women's basketball is set to visit Washington, D.C. for a Wednesday night matchup with the Georgetown Hoyas on Jan. 18 inside McDonough Arena. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. CT with coverage on the BIG EAST Digital Network carried on FloHoops. Jeremy Huber and Monika Moore will handle the television duties.

The Blue Demons are 11-7 and 4-3 in BIG EAST games after taking down Xavier on the road 91-56 on Jan. 14. In the outing in Cincinnati, DePaul made a season-best 14 three-point field goals while four finished in double figures and the Blue Demons controlled the glass 47-28.

Sophomore All-American Aneesah Morrow leads the Blue Demons on both ends of the floor averaging 25.6 points per game while grabbing 11.9 rebounds per game. Morrow has posted 14 double-doubles on the season with her points average ranking fourth in the nation and rebounds good for fifth. In BIG EAST play, Morrow is second in the league in scoring (26.4), first in rebounding (13.0) and first in steals (2.9).Â

Darrione Rogers is turning in 18.4 points per game which is fourth in the BIG EAST, while dishing out 5.4 assists per game to rank fourth among conference players.

Kendall Holmes, averaging 10.3 points per game, is coming off a six-for-eight performance from behind the arc against Xavier. Holmes is shooting 43-percent from three-point range which ranks third in the league.

DePaul leads the BIG EAST in rebounds per game at 42.7 per game including 16.1 a contest on the offensive end of the floor which ranks 10th in Division I.

The Blue Demons are 4-1 in true road games this season including a 2-0 mark in conference play.

The Hoyas enter Wednesday's matchup 8-9 on the season and 1-7 in BIG EAST play after falling to then-No. 4 UConn 65-50 last Sunday.

Kelsey Ransom and Kennedy Faunterloy pace Georgetown with 11.5 points per game apiece. Faunterloy leads all BIG EAST freshman in scoring while Ransom adds 6.4 rebounds per game and a team-best 48 takeaways on the season.
