Blue Demons Finish Day One of Illini Challenge

DePaul completes first away meet of 2023
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The DePaul track and field team successfully closed out the first day of the Illini Challenge at the University of Illinois.
The Blue Demons completed the first day of competition with a handful of top-three finishes.
BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week Billie Martin earned a first place finish in the women's weight throw for the second consecutive meet in a row. Martin completed the throw with a final distance of 18.49m.
Alex Bernstein and Ben Litwin earned top-three finishes in the men's weight throw. Bernstein took second place with a final distance of 18.69m. Litwin followed directly behind in third place with a throw of 16.70m.
UP NEXT: The Blue Demons will continue competition at the Illini Challenge beginning tomorrow at 12 p.m.
