Freya Jupp Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The sophomore forward earns the accolade for her performance against Butler
CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer's Freya Jupp was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. The accolade comes after the forward's incredible performance in DePaul's 2-1 victory against Butler on Sunday afternoon.
DePaul (5-5-2, 1-3-1 BIG EAST) conquered Butler thanks to its two early connections in the first half. Beth Smyth generated the first goal of the game off a cross by Jupp in the 13th minute. Less than three minutes later, the sophomore from Portsmouth, England, netted her first goal of the season to increase DePaul's lead to 2-0.
Jupp's goal proved to be the game winner, as Butler was unable to find an equalizer, granting DePaul its first BIG EAST conference win.
This week, DePaul is set to celebrate Family and Alumni Weekend with free admission to its home game against UConn on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. CT. On Sunday, the Blue Demons travel to South Orange, N.J. for a noon CT match against Seton Hall.
