LOUISVILLE, Ky. – DePaul women's basketball faces its first road test of the 2023-24 season on Sunday, Nov. 12 when it travels to No. 17/15 Louisville. Tipoff from the KFC Yum! Center is slated for 3 p.m. CT with coverage on ACC Network.

Noting the Blue Demons
- DePaul enters Sunday's tilt 2-0 on the season after picking up wins over Western Michigan and Stonehill at home this week.
- The Blue Demons averaged a 35.5-point margin of victory in its first two games while holding each opponent under 53 points.
- In Thursday's win over Stonehill, graduate guard Katlyn Gilbert notched the season's first triple double nationally with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. It was the seventh triple double in program history and just the 50th to include steals in Division I history.
- Anaya Peoples has carried the load offensively for DePaul, notching a pair of 20-point performances in the first two contests. Peoples registered the seventh double-double of her career with 20 points and 13 rebounds in the season opener.
- Kate Clarke, a transfer from Michigan, has finished in double figures in both games, recording career highs in points (17) and rebounds (7) against Stonehill.
- Graduate forward Brynn Masikewich has been crucial on the glass, grabbing a career-best nine boards in the opener before collecting six against Stonehill. The UCLA transfer has added a career-high nine points to go with two assists versus the Skyhawks.
- All five freshmen scored their first points in their first week of collegiate action. Sumer Lee, a Toronto, Ontario native, went 4-for-5 from the floor for 11 points against Stonehill while Charlece Ohiaeri added 10.
- DePaul's 33 steals on the season ranks sixth nationally for teams that have played two or more games.
- The Blue Demons are still putting the pieces together after welcoming eight newcomers to Lincoln Park in the summer including four transfers (Kate Clarke, Katlyn Gilbert, Brynn Masikewich, Michelle Sidor) alongside four freshmen (Grace Carstensen, Sumer Lee, Shakara McCline and Charlece Ohiaeri.
- Doug Bruno is in his 38th season leading the Blue Demons and has posted 776 wins, which ranks seventh among active Division I coaches.
Scouting Louisville
- Louisville opened the season with a 77-59 victory at Cincinnati on Monday. The Cardinals used a lopsided second quarter to create some separation from the Bearcats. UMass transfer Sydney Taylor led the way with 16 points.
- The Cardinals are coming off their fifth-straight Elite appearance in 2023 after posting a 26-12 record.
- UofL returns four players from a season ago including mainstay in the starting lineup, forward Olivia Cochran. The senior was named preseason All-ACC after leading the Cardinals in rebounding last season with 6.5 board per game.
- Jeff Walz and the Cardinals were picked to finish fourth in the ACC Blue Ribbon Preseason Poll. Walz is in his 17th season at the helm of the program.
Series Stuff
- The Blue Demons and Cardinals will meet for the 35th time on Sunday with the series tied 17-17.
- Louisville holds a 10-5 edge in games played in the Bluegrass State.
- Both teams collided as Conference USA members as well as BIG EAST foes. DePaul held a 9-7 edge in Conference USA contests while Louisville led 6-4 in BIG EAST games.
- The two sides have met in three of the last four seasons, at the Jimmy V. Women's Classic in Uncasville in 2020 before a matchup at Wintrust Arena in December of 2022.
- DePaul's last visit to Louisville was an exhilarating one as the Blue Demons punched their ticket to their fourth Sweet 16 with a defeat of the Cardinals, 73-72, on March 20, 2016.
