DePaul and Northwestern Meet for 40th Time on Wednesday

Tipoff at Wintrust Arena slated for 7 p.m.
CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball returns to action on Dec. 13 when Northwestern visits Wintrust Arena for a 7 p.m. tipoff. Wednesday night's game will be broadcast locally on Marquee Sports Network as well as streamed on FloHoops with Matt Rodewald and Kenny McReynolds on the call.

Noting the Blue Demons
- DePaul (5-5) looks to bounce back to the win column after a narrow setback to an unbeaten Miami team on Friday.
- Anaya Peoples has scored in double figures in all 10 games on the season, recording 18 or more points every time out. Peoples' scoring average of 20.7 points is 22nd in the country and first in the BIG EAST. Her 8.1 rebounds a game is third among conference players.
- Peoples was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for the third time this season.
- Jorie Allen has been on a tear as of late, finishing in double figures in six of the last seven games while averaging 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and shooting 69.7 percent from the field in the last four games. Allen's 93.3-percent free-throw percentage is ninth in Division I and first in the conference.
- Sophomore guard Maeve McErlane leads the BIG EAST with a. 2.80 assist to turnover ratio which is also good for top-25 in the country. The Blue Demons boast four players with 28 or more helpers on the season.
- DePaul's near 18 assists a game is 26th in Division I while its 40.8 rebounds per contests tops the conference charts.
- The Blue Demons are 4-1 at home this season, with its lone loss coming at the hands of Michigan State.
Scouting the Wildcats
- Northwestern is 3-6 on the season and have lost their last five games including a 71-58 setback to Maryland in the Big Ten opener on Sunday.
- Three Wildcats are averaging double figures through the first nine games of the season led by Hailey Weaver's 12.4 points per game.
- NU is 22nd in the country and fourth in the Big Ten in assists per game at a 18.2 clip.
- Joe McKeown is in his 16th season leading Northwestern and became the program's winningest coach last month.
Series Stuff
- Wednesday's game is the 40th all-time meeting between the two programs. DePaul leads the series 23-16 and have won the last seven meetings.
- The Blue Demons are 12-5 in home contests against the Wildcats.
