Jarel Terry Named BIG EAST Track Athlete of the Week

This marks DePaul's Second Consecutive BIG EAST Track Athlete of the Week

CHICAGO – DePaul track and field's Jarel Terry has been named BIG EAST Track Athletes of the Week, as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon. His accolade comes after breaking the DePaul school record last week in the men's 300m at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite. The honor marks DePaul's second-consecutive Track Athlete of the Week award, after Darius Brown earned the accolade Dec. 6.

Terry, a graduate student sprinter from Marietta, Ga. took home gold after breaking his previous school record in the event of 34.14 with a new personal-best time of 34.06.

UP NEXT: The Blue Demons open the new year at the Badger Midwest Invite hosted by Wisconsin on Saturday, Jan. 13.
