DePaul and Georgetown Clash to Close Out 2023

Tipoff set for 4 p.m. on FloHoops
CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball will close the 2023 calendar year with a BIG EAST matchup against Georgetown on Sunday, Dec. 31 at Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. CST with coverage carried on the BIG EAST Digital Network/FloHoops.
Single-game tickets are available here. Fans are to be advised that due to the Chicago Bears game taking place at Soldier Field there may be additional traffic and parking restrictions in place. Travel to the game via public transportation and rideshare is encouraged.

The Blue Demons will ring in the new year with a trip to Providence to take on the Friars on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Tipoff is slated for 10am CST on FloHoops.

2023-24 Ticket Information
Season ticket renewals for the 2023-24 women's basketball season have concluded. Current ticket holders that have yet to renew can call the ticket office to secure new seats for the upcoming season.
Those looking to purchase NEW 2023-24 season tickets can do so online or over the phone by speaking with a DePaul Athletics Ticket Representative. Noting the Blue Demons
- DePaul is 9-5 on the season and have won four games in a row and five of its last six.
- On Thursday, the Blue Demons dismantled Alcorn State 77-39, holding an opponent under 40 points for the first time since 2014 and allowing the Braves to shoot just 25-percent from the floor.
- Three Blue Demons finished in double figures while 11 of 12 active players scored. Freshman guard Shakara McCline had a team-high 13 points including a 9-for-10 mark from the charity stripe to go with five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
- Kate Clarke and Michelle Sidor recorded 12 points apiece. Sidor reached double figures for the seventh time this season while Clarke tallied her 10th double-digit outing.
- DePaul has three players averaging double figures on the season led by Anaya Peoples and her 19.3 points per game. Clarke follows with 13.4 and Jorie Allen rounds out the trio with 10.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
- Sidor paces the Blue Demons from behind the arc with 34 triples on the season while shooting at a 47.9 clip which ranks 16th in the country.
- Katlyn Gilbert's 39 steals this season is ninth among all Division I players. She owns five outings of four or more takeaways. Anaya Peoples boasts 33 steals on the year which ranks 22nd in the country.
- DePaul's 11.2 steals a game is tops in the BIG EAST and 29th nationally. The Blue Demons have collected 13 or more steals in each of the last four games.
- The Blue Demons are seeing quality production from their bench though the first half of the season, leading the BIG EAST in bench points at 23.9 points per game.
- DePaul is the league leader in rebounds, averaging 42.07 boards per game. The Blue Demons grabbed a season-best 55 rebounds against Alcorn State on Thursday evening as six players totaled five or more boards.
- As a team, the Blue Demons rank 17th nationally and second in the BIG EAST with 19.4 assists per game, having totaled 20 or more assists on eight occasions including five of the last six outings. Last time out, DePaul dished out 21 assists on 23 made field goals for a 91-percent assist rate.
- DePaul has posted a 7-1 record at Wintrust Arena this season.
- The Hoyas are 10-2 on the season, 0-1 in BIG EAST play and are coming off a 57-55 win at Kennesaw State on Thursday in their non-conference finale.
- Senior guard Kelsey Ransom leads Georgetown in a multitude of categories including scoring (14.9 ppg), rebounding (6.4 rpg) and assists (3.3 apg).
- Georgetown ranks third nationally in scoring defense, holding opponents to just 48.1 points per game. No GU opponent has reached the 60-point mark this season.
- Darnell Haney is 10-2 as Georgetown's interim head coach. He spent the previous five seasons at the helm of Jacksonville University.
- Sunday's matchup will be the 33rd meeting between the two programs. The Blue Demons lead the all-time series 28-4.
- The two teams split a pair of matchups last season with each side claiming a victory on their home floor.
- DePaul is 15-2 in games played in Chicago.
