DePaul to Host RV Green Bay on Annual Field Trip Day

Thousands of Chicagoland school children expected at Wintrust Arena
CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball looks to return to the win column on Tuesday in front of thousands of Chicagoland school children as the Blue Demons host Green Bay on its annual Field Trip Day presented by Wintrust Junior Savers Club. Tipoff from Wintrust Arena is slated for 11 a.m. CT with coverage Matt Rodewald and Kenny McReynolds calling the action on FloHoops.
Since 2008, over 56,000 elementary school students have received complimentary admission to DePaul Athletics events and Tuesday's matchup is set to add to the impressive tally.

Noting the Blue Demons
- Three Blue Demons are averaging double figure scoring through the first eight games of the season led by Anaya Peoples 20.9 points per game.
- Peoples has five 20+ point performances on the season, including a pair of double-doubles. Her scoring average ranks 22nd nationally and is second in the BIG EAST, while her 8.0 rebounds per game is fourth in the league.
- Sophomore guard Kate Clarke has finished in double figures in six games this season, averaging 15.1 points per game while shooting 41-percent from three-point range.
- Graduate forward Jorie Allen is off to the best start of her collegiate career, scoring 11.3 points per game and grabbing 6.1 rebounds a contest. Allen has scored in double figures in four of the last five games.
- The Blue Demons are sharing the ball well to start the season, averaging 18.4 assists per game which is 23rd in Division I.
- DePaul is the league leader in rebounds with 40.75 boards per game having won the rebounding battle in four games this season.
- The Blue Demons have recorded seven or more steals in seven of eight contests this season, tallying 10 or more takeaways on four occasions.
- The Phoenix enter Tuesday's matchup 5-2 on the season and are receving votes in the AP Poll for the second-straight week
- Green Bay's losses came at the hands of Northern Iowa in the season opener and to RV Maryland in Cancun, Mexico. The Phoenix have two ranked wins to their credit, with a win over then-No. 22 Creighton in Omaha on Nov. 16 and then-No. 23 Washington State on Nov. 25.
- Junior guard Maddy Schreiber leads the scoring effort for Green Bay with 11.6 points per game while shooting 58-percent from the field.
- The Phoenix are fourth in the nation in turnovers per game with just 10.9 a contest.
- Kevin Borseth is in his 21st season in Green Bay and holds a record of 487-141.
Series Stuff
- The two teams will meet for the 21st time on Tuesday with DePaul leading the all-time series, 14-6.
- The last meeting came in December of 2019 with DePaul coming out on top in Green Bay, 76-65.
- The Blue Demons are 8-2 in the series in games played in Chicago.
- DePaul is 47-13 against the current configuration of Horizon League programs.
