Blue Demons and Hurricanes meet for second-consecutive season
Coral Gables, Fla. – DePaul hits the road once more in non-conference action for a matchup against unbeaten Miami on Friday, Dec. 8. Tipoff from the Watsco Center is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CST) with Tiffany Greene and Helen Williams calling the game on ACC Network.

Noting the Blue Demons
- DePaul has won three of its last four games and is coming off a 68-64 victory over Green Bay, who is receiving votes in the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches poll.
- Anaya Peoples has led the offensive effort for DePaul through the first nine games, pacing three Blue Demons averaging double figures with 21.0 points per game.
- Peoples has six 20+ point performances on the campaign with her scoring average ranking 19th nationally and is second in the BIG EAST. Her 8.0 rebounds per game is fourth in the league.
- Jorie Allen has taken her game to a new level since returning from the Bahamas, finishing in double figures in all three games and averaging 15.6 points and 7 rebounds while shooting 71-percent from the field during the home stretch.
- Sophomore guard Kate Clarke has finished in double figures in seven games on the year, averaging 14.7 points per game while shooting 41-percent from three-point range.
- The Blue Demons are 24th nationally with 18.6 assists per game. Last time out against Green Bay, DePaul recorded 20 assists on 26 made field goals (.769).
- DePaul is the league leader in rebounds with 40.6 boards per game, having outrebounded its opponent in five games this season.
- The Blue Demons rank second in the BIG EAST in steals, having recorded seven or more steals in seven of nine contests this season and tallying 10 or more takeaways on five occasions.
- Friday is DePaul's second matchup of the season against an ACC opponent having traveled to face then-No. 17 Louisville on the road last month, a seven-point loss.
- Friendly faces will be reunited inside the Watsco Center on Friday evening as Miami's Jaida Patrick and DePaul's Michelle Sidor were high school teammates for four seasons at Saddle River Day in Upper Saddle River, N.J.
- Miami is 7-0 on the season and is receiving votes in both national polls as one of 20 Division I undefeated teams remaining in the country.
- The Canes picked up a marquee win at then-No. 21 Mississippi State in the ACC/SEC Challenge just after the Thanksgiving holiday and are coming off an 87-43 victory over NJIT last weekend.
- The U has seen balanced scoring across the board through the first month of the season with seven players averaging seven or more points a contest. Junior guard Jasmyne Roberts averages a team-best 11.6 points per game.
- Katie Meier is in her 19th season leading the Miami program and just recorded her 350th win with the Hurricanes.
Series Stuff
- Friday's meeting will be the third between the two programs with the Blue Demons winning the previous two matchups including a 98-83 decision at Wintrust Arena a season ago.
- This is DePaul's first visit to Miami in the series.
