DePaul Travels for Match Filled Weekend

The Blue Demons compete against three different teams
CHICAGO, Ill. – DePaul men's tennis (5-2) heads out on a match filled weekend starting with a 6 p.m. CT. competition in Des Moines, Iowa. on Friday against Drake University. On Saturday, the Blue Demons travel to Omaha, Neb. where they will face off against Creighton at 5:30 p.m and on Sunday, the team concludes its weekend with a University of Nebraska Omaha matchup at 11 a.m. CT.
DePaul looks to continue its four-match winning streak after defeating Purdue 5-2 in its latest competition. Jona Gitschel stepped up to the No. 6 singles spot and notched the win after defeating his opponent in a hard-fought three set battle6-2, 6-7(4), 6-4.
ÂDrake currently holds a 4-4 record this season after falling to Nebraska 2-4 on Wednesday. Creighton (1-3) and Omaha (3-2) both collected wins against their opponents last weekend. The Blue Jays tackled Gustavus Adolphus 5-2 and the Mavericks conquered Chicago State University 4-0.Â
