
DePaul Faces Off Against UIC for Last Regular Season Dual Match

The Blue Demons Play against the Flames before BIG EAST Championships
CHICAGO – DePaul men's tennis (10-14) faces off against cross-town rival UIC at 2 p.m. CT on Apr. 13 for its final dual match of the regular season. The competition, added by Head Coach Matt Brothers earlier this week, will be the team's last non-conference match before the BIG EAST championships starting on Apr. 20.Â
ÂThe Blue Demons claimed a huge 6-1 win over Villanova last Friday. DePaul captured the doubles point thanks to wins by duos Leon Huck/ Pablo Torres Almeida and Sven Moser/ Shourya Verma.Â
ÂFreshman Aleksa Krivokapic earned a 7-5, 6-4 victory over his opponent at the No. 1 singles spot to further the lead. Almeida secured the win at the No. 4 spot with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 decision.Â
ÂUIC (8-12) hosts the Blue Demons off a 3-4 loss to Incarnate Word. So far this season, the Flames have collected wins from programs like Davidson, Marquette and Lamar. The last matchup between DePaul and UIC took place on Jan. 30, 2022 when the Blue Demons won 7-0.
