DePaul Heads to Fighting Illini Challenge

The Blue Demons continue the outdoor season in Champaign, Ill.
CHICAGO – DePaul track and field will continue their outdoor season on Saturday at the Fighting Illini Challenge, hosted by the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill.
Action will begin on Saturday morning with field events, starting with the women's and men's hammer throw at 11 a.m. Billie Martin will represent the Blue Demons on the women's side while Alex Bernstein, Tommy Goggin and Ben Litwin will participate on the men's side.
Events in the oval begin at 12 p.m. with women's 4x100 relay. Jetta Mays, Maia Mays, Isabella Hilditch and Tori Carroll will participate for DePaul. The men's 4x100 relay, consisting of Myles Marshall, Cameron Attucks, Michael Stanley and Dominic Cole, will follow behind.
Valerie Whitted will participate in the women's 100m hurdle for the first time this season, and Darius Brown will represent on the men's side. This will be Brown's first outing since breaking the school record in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 13.76.
The meet will conclude with the men's and women's 5000m race. On the women's side Meaghan Andrews will represent the Blue Demons while Dominic Bruce, Tommy Elwood, Gavin Glaza and Griffin Lehnhardt will participate on the men's side.
