CSC Academic All-District Team Features Four Blue Demons

Antonijevic, Kizelbasheva, Martin and Yergler advance to national ballot
CHICAGO - Four members of the 2022-23 DePaul women's tennis team have been named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.
Lenka Antonijevic, Yuliya Kizelbasheva, Valentina Martin and Maddie Yergler each earned the nod for the Blue Demons. The women's tennis team posted a cumulative 3.875 GPA in the Winter 2023 quarter and an impressive 3.93 GPA in the Fall 2022 quarter.
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-District ballot, a student-athlete must start or play in 50% of matches and earn a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
Antonijevic played in nearly every match throughout the 2023 dual season. She finished with a final singles record of 9-6 and 11-8 in doubles. The graduate student sits near the top of DePaul's all-time doubles win record. The Kragujevac, Serbia native earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Software Development and is working towards her masters in Business Analytics.
Yuliya Kizelbasheva appeared in every dual match the Blue Demons played this season, and was the No. 1 singles player for the whole campaign. The senior had a 5-4 BIG EAST singles record on the season, and went 11-9 in doubles play. The Armavir, Russia native is majoring in Information Technology.
Valentina Martin eclipsed a final singles record of 11-7 in dual play and 20-10 overall. The graduate student went 6-2 against conference opponents. The Orlando, Fla. native completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and will earn her graduate degree in Marketing.
Maddie Yergler compiled a 7-6 dual record in singles play and went 4-1 against BIG EAST opponents. The graduate student finished her undergraduate degree in Marketing and will receive her masters in Finance.
With their naming to the All-District team, all four members of the Blue Demons will advance to the national ballot for All-America honors.
