Women’s Tennis Unveils 2023-24 Schedule

Blue Demons host nine matches at XS Tennis Village
CHICAGO – DePaul women's tennis head coach Marisa Arce announced the 2023-24 schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Demons are set to begin the fall slate on Sept. 15 at the Bowling Green Dynamic Duo while dual play begins on Jan. 12 at Florida Gulf Coast.
The Blue Demons are set to host nine matches at XS Tennis Village in 2024, including four BIG EAST Conference members. The home opener is slated for Jan. 20 versus reigning Horizon League champions Youngstown State. Four of DePaul's opponents in dual play appeared in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
The second weekend of fall action will see DePaul take the court at the Notre Dame Hidden Duals Sept. 28-Oct. 1 before competing in East Lansing, Mich. for the final two competitions of the fall ITA Midwest Regionals (Oct. 12-16) and MSU Hidden Dual (Nov. 3-5).
DePaul will play five matches in the month of January including trips to Florida Gulf Coast (Jan. 12) and Florida International (Jan. 15) before making their Chicago debut against the YSU Penguins (Jan. 20). The final weekend of the month takes the Blue Demons to Lincoln, Neb. for matches against the Cornhuskers (Jan. 26) and Harvard (Jan. 27).
Arce and Co. will take another trip to the Sunshine State the first weekend in February for matches with Georgia State (Feb. 2) and Florida Atlantic (Feb. 4) in Boca Raton, Fla.
The Blue Demons will open a five-match homestand at XS Tennis on Feb. 9 with Miami of Ohio before welcoming in Northern Illinois (Feb. 11), Chicago State (Feb. 16), Illinois State (Feb. 18) and Connecticut (Feb. 23). DePaul will close out the month with a quick trip south to take on Indiana (Feb. 24) and Butler (Feb. 25).
The beginning of March brings the Blue Demons to Wisconsin for a pair of matches in Madison against Boise State (March 2) and the Badgers (March 3). A quick trip up I-94 pits the Blue Demons against Marquette on March 8. After a two week break in the action, DePaul will return home to XS to host Georgetown (March 22) and Creighton (March 24).
A quick spring break trip to Nashville will find the Blue Demons face off against Middle Tennessee on March 7.
In the final preparations for the BIG EAST Championship, DePaul will head out East to take on St. John's (April 5) and Seton Hall (April 6) before returning home for Senior Day on April 13 as Xavier visits Chicago.
The 2024 BIG EAST Championship returns to Cayce, S.C. April 18-21.
DePaul returns five letterwinners from a 12-10 2023 dual season including a 6-1 mark against BIG EAST opponents. Three newcomers joined the Blue Demons for 2023-24 including transfers Emily Casati (Illinois) and Eva Goncharov (Nova Southeastern) and freshman Sasha Stula.
