Four DePaul Teams Earn BIG EAST Team Academic Awards

Blue Demons have second-highest, four, teams recognized
CHICAGO – Four DePaul Athletics teams were recognized Wednesday afternoon by the BIG EAST Conference with 2022-23 Team Academic Excellence Awards. The Team Academic Excellence Awards recognizes the team from each conference sport with the highest collective grade-point average. It marks the 10th-consecutive honor the Blue Demon's women's tennis program, as the team earned a 3.900 grade-point average, the highest of any team recognized.
The winners are chosen based on the 2022-23 grade-point average of each student-athlete who appeared on an institution's roster as of the last contest of the championship segment in each conference-sponsored sport.
Eleven schools had at least one team honored, with Butler leading the way with five, while DePaul had the second most with four teams recognized.
