Blue Demons Collect USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Men’s and women’s track & field programs recognized as All-Academic Teams while six student-athletes earn individual honors.
CHICAGO – DePaul men's and women's track and field teams have earned national recognition for their success in the classroom as both programs were named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams, the organization announced last week. Six Blue Demons also earned individual USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

Representing DePaul with individual USTFCCA All-Academic recognition were senior Helen Baumgarten, graduate Alex Bernstein, junior Daniel Fasasi, freshman Denhm Holt, graduate Isaiah Hopf and freshman Christian Ortiz-Velazquez. Bernstein collected the distinction for the fifth consecutive year, earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

To earn individual USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 while also meeting a standard of athletic achievement.

For the indoor season, student-athletes must finish the year ranked among the top-96 nationally in an individual championships event or the top-48 in a relay. For the outdoor season, student-athletes must either compete in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships or finish the season ranked among the top-48 nationally in an individual event. All rankings are determined by the final season performance lists on TFRRS.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, a program must maintain a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 while meeting the organization's competitive standards.
