Men's Basketball Faces #17 Creighton

OMAHA – The DePaul men's basketball team heads west as they travel to Omaha for their second-straight top-25 matchup, facing off against No. 17 Creighton. The game is slated for a 6 p.m. tip on FS1 Saturday evening with Lane Grindle and Jess Settles on the call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have the radio broadcast for DePaul on 670 The Score.
SCOUTING DEPAUL
The Blue Demons are coming off a dropped contest to No. 14 Marquette Wednesday evening at Wintrust Arena. The game marked the first under interim head coach Matt Brady as DePaul (3-17, 0-8 BIG EAST) notched a season-high 11 three-pointers. Six of the Blue Demons three pointers came from Jalen Terry who recorded a career-high on his way to a 22-point performance. Terry currently leads the BIG EAST with a 60.7 three-point percentage against conference opponents and has recorded five or more threes in back-to-back games.
DePaul is shooting 34.9 percent from behind-the-arc on the season, ranking fifth in the BIG EAST. The Blue Demons have five players shooting over 30 percent from deep on the season including Terry (.529), Chico Carter Jr. (.375), K.T. Raimey (.359), Jeremiah Oden (.346) and Da'Sean Nelson (.310).

Creighton leads the all-time series, 28-16, and has won the last 18 consecutive meetings between the two teams. DePaul's last win against Creighton came on Jan. 7, 2015 in a 70-60 win in Omaha. Creighton won the initial meeting between the two programs this season, 84-58, in Chicago.

Creighton (13-5, 4-3 BIG EAST) enters Saturday's game ranked No. 17 after going 6-1 in the month of January. The Bluejays have back-to-back conference wins against Seton Hall and Xavier, with their only loss this month coming at the hands of UConn. Creighton boasts a 9-1 record at home this season.
As a team, the Bluejays lead the country in fewest fouls per game (11.3) while also ranking third nationally in defensive rebounds per game (30.60). The team also leads the BIG EAST in three-pointers per game (10.4) and three-point percentage defense (.304). Ryan Kalkbrenner is one of the nation's best shot blockers, ranking sixth nationally in blocks per game, in addition to being 12th in the country in field goal percentage.
