Two Blue Demons Selected for BIG EAST Weekly Awards

Eisenring earns Weekly Honor Roll, Milam tabbed Goalkeeper of the Week
CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer standouts Lea Eisenring and Elena Milam earned BIG EAST Weekly Awards for their performances in the Blue Demons' 2-0 shutout over St. John's on Sunday, Oct. 27, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Eisenring, a sophomore midfielder, received her first career BIG EAST Weekly Honor after netting her third goal in four matches (and the third of her career) against the Red Storm on Sunday afternoon. In the 38th minute, she connected on a set piece from fellow sophomore Shayna da Silva, giving DePaul a 1-0 lead before halftime.
Milam, claiming her third Goalkeeper of the Week honor this season (and fifth award overall), recorded her sixth shutout of the season to keep DePaul in the postseason hunt. Ranked second in the BIG EAST for saves with 67, she added nine more last week, helping the Blue Demons return to a .500 record in conference play.
With the victory over St. John's, DePaul now sits in sixth place in the BIG EAST standings and can clinch a playoff berth with a win in their final match, thanks in large part to the critical contributions of Eisenring and Milam in pushing toward postseason play.
