DePaul Travels to Lansing, Mich. for ITA Midwest Regionals

Blue Demons look to qualify for NCAA Division I Individual Championships
LANSING, Mich. – DePaul men's tennis resumes its fall tournament slate with the ITA Midwest Regionals, from Thursday, Oct. 10 through Monday, Oct. 14 in Lansing, Mich. Michigan State will host the 2024 edition of the ITA Midwest Regionals, with matches taking place at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center. Consolation matches will be held at the MSU Outdoor Tennis Center.
The singles finalists and doubles champion from each of the 13 ITA regions will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships, set for Nov. 19-24 at Baylor University.
Sixteen teams will compete in the men's ITA Midwest Regional Championships, including Cleveland State, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Illinois, Illinois State, Marquette, Michigan, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Toledo, Western Michigan, Wisconsin, and Youngstown State.
Senior Matteo Iaquinto has secured a spot in the event's main draw. Thomas Giles, Jona Gitschel, Andy Hadziabdic, Tobias Leitner, Sven Moser, Pablo Torres Almeida, and Quang Vinh Nguyen will compete in the qualifying rounds starting Thursday.

Tournament Format: Each of the 13 ITA regional locations features a minimum of 64 singles players in the main draw and 64 in the qualifying rounds. In doubles, a minimum of 32 pairs compete in the main draw and 32 in the qualifying rounds. The two singles finalists from each region (26 total) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship, while the doubles champion from each region (13 total) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship. Selection criteria and allowable draw size variations for the 2024 Men's and Women's Regional Championships will be announced later this season.
