Blue Demons secure three day-one wins
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – DePaul men's tennis wrapped up its first day at the Notre Dame Mini Dual Invite on Friday, Nov. 1, at the Eck Tennis Pavilion, securing one singles and two doubles victories. The Blue Demon duo of Thomas Giles and Sven Moser earned a victory in the green draw of the event.
To open the morning in doubles, Giles and Moser claimed a swift 6-1 win over Kajzer and Davison of Western Michigan, setting a strong pace for DePaul.
Giles continued the momentum by defeating Davison in singles, securing a 2-1 'mini dual' victory over the Broncos pair in this unique fall tournament format.
After Jona Gitschel and Andy Hadziabdic fell in their first-round match against Wisconsin, 3-0, the duo rebounded in the second round, dominating Western Michigan's pairing of Quiros and Antonopoulos, 6-1 in doubles.
