Â
Graduate forward Jorie Allen led the Blue Demons in scoring against the Lady Rebels with 21 points, her fifth outing of 20+ points this season, while eclipsing 1,000 points for her career, including 949 scored at DePaul.Â
Â
Allen earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition for the fourth time in five weeks on Monday after averaging 24 points on 63-percent shooting last week. The Bedford, Ind. native is averaging a team-best 19.0 points per game this season which is fourth among all BIG EAST players.Â

Â
DePaul's strength of schedule as of December 15 ranks 12th in the nation while Southern is second behind fellow SWAC member Alabama State.Â
Â
Southern Notes
The Jaguars are 2-9 on the season and have faced one of the toughest schedules nationally with four ranked teams and eight power-conference programs on the slate. On Sunday, Southern picked up their second victory of the season with an 83-47 win over Jarvis Christian, an NAIA program.Â
Â
Senior guard Aniya Gourdine shoulders the load for the Jaguars as the only player averaging double figures with 10.4 points per game.Â
