Jorie Allen Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll After Career Outings

Graduate forward average 24.0 points last week
CHICAGO – DePaul's Jorie Allen was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time this season on Monday afternoon. Allen led the Blue Demons last week with 24.0 points per game on 63-percent shooting from the field.

In a 73-56 victory over UIC on Friday, Allen netted a career-high 27 points on 11 of 14 shooting from the floor while dishing out four assists and collecting three steals.

Against UNLV, the graduate student posted a team-high 21 points, shooting 50-percent from the field, and eclipsed 1,000 points for her career.

For the season, Allen is averaging 19.0 points per game which leads DePaul and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST. She has finished in double figures in all 12 games this season including five outings of 20 or more points. Â

The Blue Demons will close out non-conference play on Tuesday, Dec. 17 when Southern visits Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
