
DePaul Travels to Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The DePaul men's basketball team begins a two-game road swing Saturday, Feb. 17 as they travel to take on Providence. The game is slated to tip at 6:30 p.m. CT with Lisa Byington and Sarah Kustok on the FS1 call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have the radio call on 670 The Score.
DePaul (3-21, 0-13 BIG EAST) dropped its midweek contest to top-ranked UConn. Jaden Henley was the Blue Demons leading scorer, recording 15 points, while Jalen Terry notched a career-high 10 assists. Terry enters Tuesday with a streak of 13-consecutive games with a made three-pointer, which ranks sixth among active streaks in the BIG EAST, behind the Friars' Devin Carter who has a 17-game streak.
Providence (16-9, 7-7 BIG EAST) has won two of their last three games, including an overtime victory against Creighton on Feb. 7. The Friars look to stay above .500 in league play with a top-60 NET ranking. Providence has been led by its defensive efforts this season, holding opponents to 40.9 percent from the field. Individually, Carter leads the team with 18.8 points per game in addition to eight rebounds and 3.5 assists.
The Friars lead the all-time series 39-13, including a 100-62 win earlier this season in Chicago.
