MILWAUKEE, WIS. – The DePaul men's basketball team was defeated by #7 Marquette, 105-71, Wednesday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The Blue Demons set a program record for the most free throws made without a miss, going 23-for-23 at the free throw line.

DePaul (3-23, 0-15 BIG EAST) was led by Jaden Henley and Elijah Fisher who both tallied 19 points, including 13 first half points from Henley. Fisher tallied 12 made free throws, a personal best. Chico Carter Jr. and Keyondre Young also tallied double-digit scoring with 10 each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
DePaul started the game with its first six points coming in the paint. After a 7-6 Marquette (20-6, 10-2 BIG EAST) lead, the Golden Eagles went on a 20-4 run for a 27-8 lead. Young entered the game and hit back-to-back baskets for a quick five points. The Blue Demons went on a scoring stretch, making five of six field goal attempts in an 8-0 run to bring the score to 37-21. Marquette ended the second half on a 16-3 run for a 59-29 halftime lead DePaul could not come back from.

Fisher's 12 free throws are the most for a DePaul player since Billy Garret on Dec. 14, 2016.
Young scored 10 points for the first time in his career in BIG EAST play.
Churchill Abass tied a career-high nine rebounds.
DePaul used its eighth different starting lineup of the season.
The Blue Demon's perfect performance at the free throw line marked the second in program history with more than 10 attempts, the other instance coming Nov. 24, 2011 against Minnesota where DePaul went 13-of-13.
DePaul is the third BIG EAST team to have 23 or more with 100 percent shooting at the free throw line since 2015.

The Blue Demons return home to host Georgetown Saturday, Feb. 24. The game is slated for a 5 p.m. tip on CBS Sports Network. DePaul will honor Terry Cummings with a jersey retirement at halftime.
