DePaul Plays Host to Georgetown Saturday

CHICAGO – DePaul men's basketball is set to play host to Georgetown, Saturday, Feb. 24 in a 5 p.m. tip on CBS Sports Network. Jordan Kent and Tim Doyle will have the call on CBSSN in addition to Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine on DePaulBlueDemons.com.
During halftime at Saturday's game, DePaul will honor Blue Demon and NBA great, Terry Cummings. Cummings' jersey will be retired, joining Mark Aguirre and George Mikan's numbers and jerseys in the rafters at Wintrust Arena.
DePaul (3-23, 0-15 BIG EAST) set a program record for the most free throws in a single-game without a miss on Wednesday against Marquette, going 23-of-23 at the line. It marked the second time in school history the Blue Demons have been perfect at the free throw line and first since going 13-of-13 against Minnesota on Nov. 24, 2011.
Elijah Fisher and Jaden Henley have been a strong scoring duo for DePaul as the pair each scored 19 against the Golden Eagles. In the last five games, Henley is averaging 14.8 points per game while Fisher is shooting 50 percent from the field in BIG EAST play.
Georgetown (8-18, 1-14 BIG EAST) is coming off a narrow loss to St. John's Wednesday, 90-85. The Hoyas last win came on Jan. 6 in Washington, D.C. against DePaul, 68-65. As a team, Georgetown ranks top-50 nationally in offensive rebounds per game (12.31). Jayden Epps is the Hoyas leading scorer, averaging 17.8 points per game and 4.3 assists.
The all-time series is led by Georgetown 35-14, however, DePaul has won five of the last eight meetings between the programs.
