Blue Demons Take on Purdue

DePaul to play its third Big Ten opponent
WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. – DePaul men's tennis travels to Purdue to open the second half of its dual-season schedule. The Blue Demons (5-5) are set to square off against the Boilermakers (3-6) on Friday, March 1, at 5:00 p.m. CT at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
In its last outing, DePaul dominated Navy in a 5-2 decision at home on Sunday, Feb. 25. Purdue managed to squeeze past Brown in its last appearance on Sunday, Feb. 11, taking the 4-3 victory in W. Lafayette.
The Blue Demon pairing of Leon Huck and Sven Moser enter the weekend coming off two straight BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week nods. The duo remains undefeated this season with a perfect 4-0 record in doubles, most recently taking down Navy's Ayinala/Etterbeek, 6-1 at No. 2.
Roughly one year ago, DePaul triumphed over Purdue in an impressive 5-2 decision. During the Feb. 3, 2023 match, the Blue Demons snagged five of six singles points en route to the victory. Additionally, DePaul has won two of the last three matches against Purdue.
The Boilermakers put up a 2-20 dual record during the 2022-23 season, taking down Butler and IUPUI.
